Education
Stanford University
1982 - 1991
PhD , EE
Activities and societies: IEEE member since 1978
I was a Professor James D. Meindl student. I developed micropower systems and chips for implantable ultrasonic blood flow meters. These included integrated analog transcoductor-C filters with nA level currents, plus a low power FM transmitter. I also did some work on implantable antennas. I was probably one of the last PhD students in the world "fabricating" my own chip.
Stanford University
1980 - 1982
M.S. EE , Microelectronics
Caltech
1978 - 1980
Bachelor's degree , Electrical (electronics)
Caltech is a very special place. The professors are few but the best experts in the world. Slobodan Cuk and Robert D. Middlebrook (An unquestionable master of Electronics) and John Chome (who taught at Caltech) had the highest impact on me. I learned how to innovate and invent from Prof. Cuk.
University of Michigan
1977 - 1978
B.S EE
Grade: Honor student
Sharif University of Technology
1976 - 1977
B.S EE
