چکيده
هدف در اين پروژه ساختن يک برد functional بر مبناي Intel486 SX است. اين بردکه minBoard نام گرفته ، حاوي حداقل سخت افزار و نرم افزار مورد نياز است. مجموعه سخت افزار و نرم افزار قابليت ارتباط با کاربر از طريق يک input device (صفحه کليد PC) و يک output device ( LCD يا PC monitor) را نيز فراهم مي کنند. به علت توان پردازش بالا و قابليت هاي multiprogramming و time-sharing ( در هنگام کار در protected mode) و نيز مصرف توان بسيار کم (در نسخه ultra-low power آن )  ، Intel486 SX گزينة مناسبي براي تحقق يک real-time embedded controller است. به اين ترتيب ، برد طرح شده در اينجا ، مي تواند به عنوان نقطة شروع مناسبي ( يا به عبارت ديگر، هستة اصلي ) در طراحي کنترلرهاي صنعتي و نظامي با توان پردازش بالا به کار رود.

Abstract
The goal of this project is to design a functional board 
based on the Intel486 SX processor. This board which is called
"minBoard" contains the minimum necessary hardware and software.
The combined collection of hardware and software provide the ability
to communicate with the user through an input device (i.e. PC keyboard)
and an output device (i.e. LCD or PC monitor). High processing power,
multiprogramming and time-sharing capabilities (when operated in 
protected mode), and low (or ultra-low) power consumption, makes the 
Intel486 an appropriate choice for realizing a real-time embedded 
controller. Accordingly, the board designed in this project can become
the proper basis for designing the industrial and military controllers.
