MITRA DAMGHANIAN 80223307 Abstract: A method for automatic topology synthesis of analog circuits is presented which complements its previous works. This method uses a knowledge base to generate topology of analog circuits in small signal or large signal domain. Knowledge base consists of circuit knowledge and experts’ knowledge (optional) as well as a simple abstraction level of specification of elements which is compressed and saved in the library. For algorithmic selection of element from the library, constraint matching is used for a faster solution. This method can generate noble circuits which do not exist in its library. It can approximate high frequency behavior of circuits using behavioral matching.
